Properties Neutral liquids with characteristic odour, miscible in water in all proportions
Applications Used as a slow evaporating solvent for the use in Lacquers for D. C. to cellulose ethers. Its high dilution capacity for ethanol, toluene and white spirits is of great advantage in lacquer solutions. It's used in clearing agents and paint strippers and also as a solvent in leather industries and in dye solvents where deep penetration and bright shades are necessary. It is used in electrostatic paint formulations, in leather chemicals and mainly solution coatings.
